Usage

  • Sika® Backer Rod Fire is designed for fire resistant joint sealing in horizontal and vertical building structures.
  • Sika® Backer Rod Fire is used in conjunction with SikaHyflex®-250 Facade or Sikaflex® AT Connection.

Approvals/Standards

  • EN 1366-4, up to 4 hours fire resistance
  • EN 13501-2, up to class EI 240
  • ETAG 026 part 3 – ETA 17/0980, up to class EI 240
  • EN 13501-1, class A1

Sika® Backer Rod Fire shall be stored in dry conditions, where it is protec- ted from direct sunlight and at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C.
